Wolverines, we got no TV!
Dear John,
One of the ideas of Scout outings is to get away from tv, music, texting, and on and on and on. They do a great job of getting beyond what they don't have and being inventive about what they do have. They spent most of the week carving up sticks, splitting up half the fallen wood in the forest, playing football and so on. But at one point I looked up and saw this:
Essentially they had set themselves up to watch a little professional wrestling. Two of the older boys were having a "discussion" over a particular pillow. (I don't know all the particulars.) Notice the popcorn they are passing back and forth.
They had front row seats for the event. It lasted for quite a while, until one boy put the head of the other one out the side of the tent. On the bright side, now that tent has a side entrance. Such is life with scouts.
With that in mind, goodnight.
